The Summit Retirement Community: What We Offer
News & Blog
September 15, 2025
LifeSpire of Virginia owns and operates The Summit Retirement Community, where we provide assisted living and independent living services. We are also preparing to introduce memory support services soon thanks to our ongoing expansion.
Recently, a local news story referenced another provider, Summit Health and Rehab, in a story regarding “assisted living” communities in the region. While the story was not about The Summit Retirement Community, we want to clarify the distinction to avoid any confusion for our residents, families, and community partners.
Summit Health and Rehab, a licensed nursing home, is a separate organization that provides short-term rehabilitation services and long-term nursing home care. Summit Health and Rehab is owned by Hill Valley Healthcare. It is not affiliated with LifeSpire of Virginia or The Summit Retirement Community.
We were not contacted prior to the story airing as it was not about our community. However, we want to ensure that families seeking care understand the difference between our organizations.
As a Virginia-based not-for-profit community, The Summit Retirement Community remains committed to providing high-quality services and programs that empower individuals with choices in purposeful living.
