A New Jersey native, Donna Yatsko joined The Chesapeake in 2019 as Director of Social Services. In 2024, Donna took on the role of Assisted Living Administrator, where she played a key role in operational oversight, team development, and ensuring the highest standards of care. As of July 2025, Donna now proudly serves as the Associate Executive Director.

Donna holds both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Social Work from Rutgers University, with a concentration in health, mental health, and aging. She brought to The Chesapeake many years of experience from her time working in the aging services field, leading interdisciplinary teams and oversaw a wide range of resident services. Her background in social work has made her a strong advocate for resident rights and well-being, as well as a resourceful problem-solver in complex care situations.

Donna resides in Williamsburg with her husband and three children.

A native of Lynchburg, Virginia, Barbara Jackson-Ingram joined The Chesapeake in September 2018 as our Licensed Nursing Home Administrator. In this position, she oversees all licensed areas including the health care center, assisted living and memory support as well as the clinic. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Care Management from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Master of Science degree in Administration with a concentration in Health Services from Central Michigan University. Prior to joining The Chesapeake, Barbara led the assisted living team at Lakewood in Richmond as their Administrator of Assisted Living. She has extensive experience in the senior living field and truly enjoys serving her ‘extended family’ of seniors and sharing in their wisdom. She has two children and enjoys reading, landscape photography, and writing.

Courtney joined the LifeSpire family in 2016 at our sister community in Richmond and came into her role as Marketing Director at The Chesapeake in 2023. She studied business at Thomas Nelson Community College and strives to combine creative vision with analytical prowess. She hopes to deliver impactful results in today’s ever-evolving senior living landscape. Outside of her professional endeavors, Courtney enjoys spending time with her husband and two young children, her beloved Labrador, and enjoying many outdoor activities.

After much success as the Fitness Director in our community, Candace was promoted to Director of Life Enrichment in 2022. A graduate of Old Dominion University, she has a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science and a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Management from Saint Leo University. Candace is passionate about the active aging community and helping older adults foster a vibrant lifestyle. Candace and her husband enjoy spending time with their young son and golden retriever.

Judi Cleary is a seasoned professional in senior services, specializing in Alzheimer’s disease, dementia care training, and therapeutic activities. Her passion for serving seniors began at just 18 years old, when she worked as an Activity Assistant at a nursing home south of Boston, Massachusetts, while attending college. Judi spent 15 years as an Activity Director, leading programs in nursing homes, assisted living communities, and continuing care retirement communities. Today, she teaches the Activity Director Certification Program, approved by the Virginia Department of Social Services, preparing the next generation of senior care professionals.

With extensive experience as an Executive Director and Consultant, Judi has dedicated her career to improving the quality of life for seniors through innovative care strategies and comprehensive training. She has been a Licensed Assisted Living Administrator for over 17 years and, as a Licensed Preceptor, has successfully mentored numerous professionals through obtaining their Administrator’s License.

Judi is also a Certified Dementia Practitioner and a Certified Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care Trainer, offering specialized training required for this certification. Her expertise extends to being an independent trainer for Teepa Snow’s Positive Approach to Care® and a former trainer for the Alzheimer’s Association.

Known for her creative problem-solving, strategic planning, and engaging communication style, Judi is both a respected leader and a passionate mentor. Through her independent consulting firm, Cleary’s Consulting LLC, she partners with organizations and individuals to elevate standards of care in assisted living, dementia care, and therapeutic programming—reflecting her entrepreneurial spirit and unwavering dedication to excellence in senior services.
