About AgeSmart

Marygrace is a social worker with more than seventeen years of experience working with older adults. Before coming to AgeSmart, Marygrace worked as a sales counselor for senior living communities, a director of social work and a director of volunteers. Marygrace received her Bachelor of Social Work Degree from Radford University. Marygrace enjoys reading and spending time with family and friends.

Johnnie O’Neal joined the AgeSmart team in 2025. He is a seasoned social worker with over fifteen years as a social work professor and six years working with older adults in Charleston, SC and Virginia. Johnnie received his Bachelor of Social Work from Limestone University, Master of Social Work from the University of South Carolina, and PhD in social work from Virginia Commonwealth University. Johnnie enjoys volunteering, spending time outside, training his puppy and rooting for his favorite sports teams.

Kelsey Camire is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a background in the senior care industry. Kelsey previously spent five years as a community social worker for Better Housing Coalition, before joining the AgeSmart team at its inception in 2018. Kelsey received her master’s degree in social work from VCU and her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Roanoke College in 2013. Kelsey and her husband have two sons.

Bill Lee has 42 years of sales and marketing experience, working in insurance and advertising in business development and management. He has been a part of the AgeSmart program since it began in 2018. Bill and his wife, Bea, celebrated 41 years together earlier this year. They have three adult children and five grandchildren. Bill is a lifelong resident of Virginia but has traveled extensively throughout the United States and abroad. He is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and an avid outdoorsman.

Brenda Davis has worked with senior adults and their families for many years including two years at Lakewood before joining the AgeSmart team in 2021. Brenda has a bachelor’s degree in education from Radford University and is a Certified Dementia Practitioner and a Senior Fitness Specialist. Brenda is a native Virginian who enjoys leading church activities, engaging in all kinds of sports, traveling and hosting parties. She has four adult children and enjoys her freedom as an empty nester. She is an active member of Kiwanis and Osher and teaching classes at the YMCA each week.

Jackie Ahmed has been with AgeSmart since 2021. She has over 35 years of experience in administration services including Signet Bank, Capital One and working as the SharePoint administrator for MCV physicians as part of the VCU Health System administration. Jackie raised two children while developing her career. You can most often find Jackie working in her yard, running, or creating many delicious meals for her family. Jackie is also a huge Michigan sport fan.

Brandi Friday has spent the past 18 years helping older adults and people with disabilities live with dignity and support. Before joining AgeSmart, she worked as a senior advisor, led long-term services at a local nonprofit, and volunteered with hospice for many years. She received a master’s in Aging Services Management from the University of Southern California and a bachelor’s in art from Mary Baldwin University. Her passion for this work started with her grandparents, who continue to inspire her every day.
