Clubs, Classes and Trips

Our robust calendar of programs and activities is packed with a variety of club gatherings, classes, programs, and exciting trips designed to keep you engaged and inspired. Take a class in our beautiful art studio, explore your passion for carpentry in our fully equipped woodshop, or expand your knowledge through our Glebe Scholar Program. Enjoy live onsite concerts, fun movie screenings, lively game nights, and weekly card games. You’ll love our regularly scheduled outings to the symphony, ballet, and theater, and other wonderful destinations. There’s always something happening at The Glebe!

The Glebe offers beautifully designed indoor and outdoor spaces that are perfect for relaxation and connecting with others. Visual Arts

Our creative arts studio hosts a variety of classes in the visual arts for the beginner and the experienced artist. Each month we showcase the work of residents and local artists in our Gallery Walk.

Performing Arts

Local professional musicians routinely visit. Whatever your taste might be, there’s something for you, from country to classical, jazz to gospel. Informal concerts by residents take place regularly and don’t be surprised to find an impromptu sing-a-long breaking out around our two beautiful world-class Steinway Boston grand pianos!

Woodshop

Our well-equipped woodshop has everything you need to create your masterpiece. You’ll have access to woodworking and carpentry tools, including a bandsaw, router, drills, and table saws.

Crafts and Caring

The Spinning Threads group uses their variety of skills, including quilting, needle pointing, knitting and crocheting to support the local Roanoke rescue mission. Residents also share their many talents and support the annual craft show that benefits the VBH Foundation Benevolent Fund through woodworking projects, jewelry, jams, scarves and other handmade gifts.
