In Their Own Words

The Glebe Club, going into its twelfth year, has been a powerful experience for our students at RMMS.It gives them a meaningful opportunity to connect with others beyond the classroom—building communication skills, confidence, and empathy. Interacting with the residents has helped our students see the value of listening, storytelling, and shared experiences. It’s more than a program—it’s a bridge between generations that leaves a lasting impact on both sides.

I have enjoyed participating in the Read Mountain Middle School Glebe Legacy Club for the last three years. I find the topics allow both generations to share their stories, values and traditions each month. I always strive to let my actions and character highlight the value on each individual student. I enjoy their honesty, bright smiles, giggles, stories, hugs, and the end of the year ‘you are like our grandma.’ I hope they gain insight into a loving and caring generation.
