The Glebe Receives Vohra Center of Excellence for Wound Management Certification

The Glebe Retirement Community is proud to announce that its skilled nursing center has been certified by Vohra Wound Physicians as a Center of Excellence for Wound Management. This recognition is awarded to only a small percentage of Vohra’s skilled nursing facility partners each year, and The Glebe is honored to be among them.

The designation recognizes The Glebe’s commitment to high-quality wound care and its successful partnership with Vohra Wound Physicians, and is shared by all LifeSpire of Virginia communities with skilled nursing centers.

The Glebe places a top priority on healing and rehabilitating residents. Through its partnership with Vohra, physician-led bedside wound care is available within the skilled nursing center. A Vohra wound physician visits weekly to treat residents with wound and skin care needs, reducing the need for outside wound center or hospital visits.

The Glebe’s interdisciplinary team is dedicated to providing coordinated care. The Vohra wound physician collaborates with primary care physicians, nurses, and other members of the care team to ensure residents receive excellent, consistent wound care.
