Resident Spotlight 🔦
Jim and Drew Everett, new residents of The Glebe hosted a full house with their program called, “Bats, Mosquitos, and Goats”. They were volunteer missionaries in Uganda for 20 years with Advancing the Ministries of the Gospel (AMG) living 4 months of the year there. Jim and Drew lived just like the nationals did, even living without electricity, which is common for about 95% of Uganda, to be able to build trust and have an effective ministry.
As the saying goes, “a picture is worth a thousand words” – and it was! They shared countless photos, uplifting (and some heartbreaking) stories, and experiences with so many resilient and amazing people they met along the way. They provided the residents with laughs, understanding of why the program was named that (so many bugs, animals, and snakes), and what life looks like that the nationals face on the daily.
