Glen Allen, VA | For Immediate Release
LifeSpire of Virginia, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing high-quality senior housing, is proud to announce that all LifeSpire communities with skilled nursing centers have been certified by Vohra Wound Physicians as Centers of Excellence for Wound Management. This recognition is awarded to only a small percentage of Vohra’s skilled nursing facility partners each year.
The Glebe, The Culpeper, The Chesapeake and Lakewood each earned the Center of Excellence designation in recognition of their commitment to high‑quality wound care and successful partnership with Vohra Wound Physicians.
LifeSpire communities place a top priority on healing and rehabilitating residents. Through the organization’s partnership with Vohra, physician‑led bedside wound care is available within each skilled nursing center. A Vohra wound physician visits weekly to treat residents with wound and
skin care needs, reducing the need for outside wound center or hospital visits.
Each LifeSpire community has an interdisciplinary team dedicated to providing coordinated care. The Vohra wound physician collaborates with primary care physicians, nurses, and other members of the care team to ensure residents receive excellent, consistent wound care.
Paula Bolton, LifeSpire’s Vice President of Operations, shared, “This certification reflects the skill, dedication, and collaboration of our team members across each community, and the difference their efforts make for the residents we serve.”
