VBH ANNOUNCES PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT WITH THE NATIONAL INSTITUTE FOR FITNESS AND SPORT

January 25, 2016 – Richmond VA. Virginia Baptist Homes announces a partnership agreement with the National Institute for Fitness and Sport:

Virginia Baptist Homes (VBH) has recently signed an agreement with the National Institute for Fitness and Sport (NIFS). NIFS is an industry-leader in designing and executing holistic wellness programs for seniors.  The NIFS partnership underscores VBH’s commitment to healthy aging for its residents.

Research shows that an active lifestyle can lessen the challenges and increase the opportunities associated with aging. VBH seeks to provide an environment within its four communities that offers aging adults programs, guidance, and support for healthy aging. The partnership with NIFS will help VBH residents take charge of their health and wellness and improve their overall well-being.

NIFS will partner with VBH to provide the following services:

  • Personal training, personalized exercise programs, fitness testing, and equipment orientation
  • Group fitness classes
  • Data analysis
  • Health-Related educational sessions, life-long learning opportunities, nutritional coaching and weight-loss programs
  • Foster cross-department collaboration
  • Implementation of Incentive and Wellness programs
